What we offer:

Trauma-Informed & Integrative Care

Tidepool specializes in trauma-informed care using an integrative framework.

Rather than relying on a single trauma model, treatment is responsive and adaptive-shifting between structured trauma processing, parts-based work, nervous system regulation, and creative expression.

Tidepool incorporates art-based processes and therapeutic writing into therapy sessions. These modalities are optional and guided by client choice; no artistic skill or prior experience is required.

The Tidepool approach may be especially supportive for clients who:

  • feel “high-functioning” but internally fragmented

  • have not found relief through talk therapy alone

  • are wary of rigid or overly manualized protocols

  • want trauma work that is thoughtful, paced, and collaborative

Individual Psychotherapy

Individual therapy at Tidepool is collaborative and tailored to you.

Sessions may integrate:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work

  • Art therapy and therapeutic writing

  • Narrative and somatic approaches

Modalities are selected based on your needs, preferences, and nervous system capacity — not a predetermined formula.

Common areas of focus include:

  • Trauma and complex trauma

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout

  • Relational and attachment patterns

  • Identity shifts and life transitions

  • Grief, loss, and meaning-making

  • Creative blocks and emotional integration

Therapy is paced intentionally, with careful attention to safety, readiness, and consent. The goal is not symptom suppression alone, but integration across emotional, relational, and embodied levels.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that symptoms are often adaptive responses rather than signs that something is inherently wrong with us. I specialize in trauma-focused work integrating EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and relational approaches to help clients better understand the protective strategies their systems developed in order to survive. I view healing as a process of building connection, safety, and internal leadership rather than forcing change or eliminating parts of ourselves.

My work is deeply collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique nervous system, relational history, and lived experience. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported as they move toward greater coherence, self-trust, and connection.
